You Capture - Photographer's Choice

Beth's challenge this week was photographer's choice. There are lots of lovely choices to see. My choice was a face......

The face is Aung San Suu Kyi. She is the elected leader of Burma. She has been under house arrest for 14 years. The military dictatorship refuses to give up power. It's not good there. To learn more you can go here. To download the mask, you can go here.

I love this. What a great idea. What is driving me crazy is I can't figure out who everyone is, but my favorite is Natty Pants. Great captures.

I'm smiling, :-) This was so funny and creative too. How'd you get everyone to collaborate? My family now turns away when I pull out my camera. Darn!

This is very interesting. Thanks for the links. It looks like you used some strangers as well? So many people get such fantastic shots of strangers but I just don't have the nerve to ask. I have been thinking that I need an "interesting strangers" challenge or something :)

Love this; what a great way to bring knowledge of this situations who did not know what has been going on! Through pictures.

What a great idea and a wonderful way to spread awareness. I had a student from Burma last year, and she told me all kinds of stories from her family's life there (before escaping to the US). It's a bad, bad situation.

Wow. That was fabulous! And the cajones you must have to ask all these seemingly random people to let you snap their photo, albeit behind a mask. I'm a little late catching up on all the You Captures this week, but what a great message that you're getting out!
