you capture - year's best

You know, it's funny.

When I started looking for my "best" pictures of the past year,

it wasn't about any technical aspects of any of the photos.

It was about why the picture was taken,

what was happening when the the picture was taken,

who was there when the picture was taken.

It was about the reasons for the photos.

It was about the memories contained in the photos.

And it made it so, so, so hard to narrow the list down.

Because 2010?

It was a really great year.

I feel the same way about my favorite photos. They may not be the best in technical terms, but I have a LOT of great memories from 2010! I love your beach photo, and the dog. So sweet. :)

And this is how I chose my pictures too. So much emotion is behind them.

I loved revisiting your pictures. You really should consider photography as a side job. You are that good.

What a beautiful collection of photos! They're all great but that turtle one made me say 'Jeez, what a great picture!' out loud! And as always, the narration totally enhances the beauty of the photos.

Really nice choices. The dog is so cute and the little girls holding hands appeals to me.

And each one speaks.

Thank you so much for sharing and evoking those emotions in us too.
