it made my brain hurt

I tried to think of metaphors. I tried to think of similes, which are technically easier. But I couldn't. It gave me a headache. In November I'll be teaching poetry, and if you ask for metaphors then, I will rock that. But right now? I just don't feel so creative today. It felt too much like work. So instead I asked Hubby, the writer, to write something using metaphors that I could post. This is what he gave me.....

She is

An ocean dispersing my particles
Then recreating them
In an atmosphere of floating clouds

A higher place
A plateau not all can reach
Like the wind that answers my call

A telegraph of hope
A reflection of true meaning
Like a beautiful message of truth

A sunset after a storm
An age of new philosophy
A journey with no end

I asked him if he wanted me to say anything about it. But he said he likes to leave things open to interpretation. So, yeah. Interpret away. Idealized love? His cat? Sting? Something to do with Lost? Whatever. It's waaaaaay better than anything I could have come up with. So thank you, Hubby, for the help today.

OOh I consider this a treat! Your writing is a treat too, but it's nice to see some of your hubby's words. :) Hehehe, I just assumed he meant you. But looking back over it, it seems he could also have meant something like "inspiration". But I like that it's open.

My first thought was you, but I guess it could be something else. Nice to have a hubby you can turn to in times like this. Had I turned to mine for something like this, I would have gotten a laugh or something like "There was a young man from Nantucket...". Love you!
